Kolaborasi dengan Gentle Bones, Dru Chenn Perkenalkan Album Terbaru ‘Slow Life’ dan Single ‘La Di Da’

iniSURABAYA.com – Setelah sukses dengan single terakhirnya ‘Summertime’ yang mengumpulkan 30.000 streams dalam lima hari pertama, Dru Chen merilis album terbarunya, ‘Slow Life’.

Selain menampilkan single-single sebelumnya seperti ‘Our Story’, ‘Eiffel Tower’ dan ‘Lost’, album baru ini juga menampilkan track terbarunya ‘La Di Da’.

Di komposisi tersebut, musisi yang berdomisili di Singapura ini berkolaborasi dengan penyanyi dan penulis lagu asal Singapura, Gentle Bones.

Dru menjelaskan,“Life in the city rat-race isn’t easy, where the weak get trampled and left behind. ‘La Di Da’ speaks to the wounded souls trapped in the pressure cooker of the urban jungle, where work-life balance is sacrificed for fear of losing out to your competition. Having experienced this first hand in Singapore, Gentle Bones and I united to deliver a tonic to stressed out citizens, inviting the listener to take a step back, take a deep breath, and just sing.”

Menampilkan alur urban yang hening, melodi pop/rock yang mendayu-dayu, serta lirik yang menentramkan, ‘La Di Da’ diharapkan dapat menjadi tempat istirahat dari hiruk-pikuk dunia, tema yang terajut dengan jelas di seluruh album ‘Slow Life’. 

Mulai dari pop-R&B yang sensual ‘Summertime’ hingga rimbunnya romantisme ‘Eiffel Tower’, ‘Slow Life’ membawa pesan cinta dan kepositifan serta pengingat untuk istirahat dan menikmati hidup terlepas dari segala tantangannya.

“When Joel and I met for the first time, we spoke about how important it is for music to uplift – for melodies and lyrics to rise and radiate a positive feeling. We truly believe this is what music has done for us, and we wanted to get together to write something which we hope will do the same for our listeners during these troubled times,” ujar Dru menambahkan. 

Sejak album debutnya ‘Mirror Work’ di tahun 2019, pria kelahiran Australia ini terus mengeksplorasi seni soniknya. wid
