iniSURABAYA – Harris & Pop! Hotel Gubeng Surabaya grabbed an achievement at the end of 2018. A hotel which part of the branch of Tauzia group hotel succeeded to achieved the title of Best Prize of Environmental Development Management which awarded by the Surabaya City Government.
From all 200 companies, Harris & Pop! Hotel Gubeng Surabaya made it to eliminate the other 57 Hotel & Apartment which considered as the hotels that care about environment.
Among those 200 companies which become an object of the coaching by Environment Agency of Surabaya City Government, there are 77 industry sectors, 29 hospitals, 28 shopping centres/malls, nine offices, 38 hotels and 19 apartments.
“We are really grateful that Harris & Pop! Hotel Gubeng got the Best Prize for Hotel and Apartment category, because our licensing and report management itself are indeed complete,” said Stylianos Koureas, General Manager of Harris & Pop! Hotels and Conventions Gubeng Surabaya.
According to Stylianos Koureas, “We are very proud of achieving this award. This is a proof that Harris & Pop! Hotel Gubeng really cares and concern about environment. This is also reflects to one of Tauzia Value, ‘Act as a good citizen’ as a good Surabaya citizen or Indonesian citizen.”
The evaluation category which done by Environment Agency of Surabaya City Government was to fulfill the administration aspect, such as, having the environmental related document, having the license of water disposal & temporary storage of B3 waste (Hazardous & Toxic Material). Also reporting the environmental documents, self-monitoring water disposal and B3 waste managing according to the proper period.
Another thing that also important is to fulfill the technical aspect, such as, having the installation of water waste and building for temporary storage of B3 waste, managing B3 waste according to the proper technic and fulfilling the water and air standard. sum
