Anne Avantie is Ready To Break The Indonesian World Records Museum with Batik, ‘Surabaya has Such a Strong Connection with Me’

Anne Avantie is cutting chocolate cake to mark the inauguration of Pasar Tiban.

iniSURABAYA – In celebration of National Batik Day 2018, Anne Avantie had prepared something special. Together with the Indonesian Army, the most well-known designer from Semarang held an Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) record breaking with Canting in Plaza of Indonesian Army Headquarter, Cilangkap, Jakarta Timur on Tuesday (10/2).

The batik making process event that held to commemorate National Batik Day and Indonesian Army’s 73th anniversary was participated by 7.000 people from Dharma Pertiwi, Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana, Jalasenastri, PIA Ardya Garini and IKKT Praganti Wira Anggini.

“We were expecting to reach our target, at least 5.000 people to join this record-breaking event,” stated Anne Avantie at the opening of Tiban Market in Pakuwon Mall Surabaya, Wednesday (10/3).

But, she continued, the last data shown that the participants were increasing to 7.000. “It means that we have already broken the world record,” told she, the lady whose also known as Sianne Avantie.

The previous success and achievement got her wanting to hold the exact same event in Surabaya, “Next year I’m planning to hold another MURI record-breaking event in Surabaya,” she certainly stated.

According to Anne Avantie, Surabaya has such a strong connection with her. That is the reason why she always wants to do the best for the citizens of Surabaya or so-called ‘Hero City’.

One of the frequent thing she does is holding an event called Tiban Market, which always been held in Pakuwon Mall Surabaya.

“Within many chances I’d always want to be in the centre of Surabaya citizens. I want more women to improve their talent and unite as one, certainly I want to unite all the differences between all of us,” said she.

The second Tiban Market event that held this time was special, Anne Avantie invited kids with cerebral palsy disability to join her in the event. Supported by Sequis and Anne Avantie’s Foundation, there will be 750 kids at the event in celebration of International Cerebral Palsy Day.

“At first, there were only 700 kids. But then it kept on going and now it becomes 750 kids. Together they will join the making of batik event on Sunday (10/7),” Anne Avantie explained.

There are also many kinds of activities at 21 Batik Market ‘Selayang Pandang’ which will be held for the whole week from Tuesday (10/2) to Sunday (10/7). Such as ‘Ngadi Saliro Ngadi Busono’, ‘Philosophy of Batik Cloth’. ‘Attired, Cultured, Ethics’ and ‘Beauty from Beneath’ with Fenita Arie. sum
